Describe the delivery point
Provide the address, access details and any restrictions for a vehicle. Note where loading and unloading are practical. Clarify whether you mean delivery to the entrance or transport to a specific position inside the building.
Measure the route inside
Measure doorways, corridors, lifts and stairs. Allow for turning space and obstacles such as thresholds. Photos add context but do not replace accurate measurements or an assessment by the transport provider.
Supporting surface and anchoring
The model, weight and location determine what preparation is needed. Have the floor and possible anchoring assessed. Drilling or anchoring must take account of the product instructions and the actual conditions on site.
Agree the responsibilities
Ask who handles transport within the building, unpacking, placement, anchoring and packaging disposal. Once a specific proposal is available, have the exact work and any additional charges recorded in writing.
